Terms of service

Last updated 16 September 2026

Draft. The legal entity behind this service is being finalised, so this document is published for review and has not been through legal approval.

These terms cover your church's use of Sermon Short Reels, operated by Sermon Short Reels. They are a draft written by the product team and have not been reviewed by a lawyer.

The service

You submit a recording of a sermon. We transcribe it, select five moments, render five vertical reels with captions, and make them available in your account for review, download and, on the Publish and Studio plans, scheduled posting to connected platforms.

Your recordings and your rights

You confirm that your church owns the recording you submit, or has permission to process it, including from anyone who appears or speaks in it. You keep every right you already hold in the recording and in the reels made from it.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store the recording, process it, create the reels and deliver them back to you, and to post them where you have connected an account and approved a post. Nothing you submit is published as our marketing material unless you give separate written permission naming the church and the scope.

What you may not submit

Recordings you do not have the right to process, material that is unlawful, and content that infringes someone else's rights.

Plans, allowances and payment

Plans are billed monthly or annually in USD through Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and collects any applicable VAT or GST. Allowances are counted in sermons per calendar month, and one sermon produces five reels. The free tier is one sermon for the lifetime of the account, and its reels carry a watermark.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Prices shown as launch pricing may change for new customers, and existing customers keep their price for twelve months from the date they first paid.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Queues are longest on Sunday night, and processing times are estimates rather than guarantees.

Features that are not live yet

Posting to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok requires approval from those platforms. Where a feature is labelled coming soon or planned, it is not part of what you are buying today.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your church from settings. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, that submits material it has no right to submit, or that does not pay.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the updated date changes and account holders are told by email.
